How to choose a model agency

This directory lists agencies with their official websites and public contacts. Before you apply, a few points help you tell agencies apart and avoid the common pitfalls.

Mother agency vs. placement agency

A mother agency discovers and develops a model, builds the portfolio and manages the career over the long term. It then places the model with partner agencies in other markets, which book jobs locally and share the commission. Many models start with a mother agency in their home city before being placed in Paris, Milan, London or New York.

What a legitimate agency asks (and never asks)

A serious agency asks for simple, natural digitals (snapshots without heavy makeup or filters), your measurements, height and age, and, for minors, a parent's consent. It earns a commission on the work it books. Be wary of anyone who asks for an upfront registration fee, sells you a mandatory photo shoot or course, or pressures you to sign on the spot. Always check the agency's official website and contact details.

The four fashion capitals

Each market has its own focus: haute couture and luxury houses in Paris, ready-to-wear and editorial work in Milan, a creative and commercial scene in London, and the largest commercial and advertising market in New York. Each city page lists its agencies with contacts.

How to use this directory

Start with a city page to see every agency listed in Paris, Milan, London or New York, with the profiles we have documented shown first. If you already know a name, the search finds an agency by name, city or website across the whole catalogue, and each result shows whether the agency has a full profile here or only a listing with its main contacts. The A–Z index at the top of this page browses the worldwide list letter by letter, including agencies outside the four capitals. Each agency profile gathers the official website, public contacts such as email, phone and social accounts, an editorial presentation and, where available, the model roster. The directory does not represent any agency: to apply or book a model, always contact the agency directly through its official website.
